Partners'meeting in Marseille (Fr) in June 2013
Another meeting, and other exchanges of ideas, experiences, views, and another opportunity to create news projects together.
This visit was also the opportunity for the Marseilles branch of Itinéraire International, host organisation, to organise a conference on the theme of mobility, as a tool also accessible to young people with disabilities.
During their stay partners also had the opportunity to visit a Rehabilitation Center where European projects are developed, and work on the main elements of what would be a guideline document on organizing mobility projects for young adults for special needs.
Off the formal visit, delegates also had the opportunity to enjoy Marseilles, its sunny weather, its new Mediterranean Museum, its 'fête de la musique' (musique festival), and other good things!!
Reports and photos coming soon...

Partners' meeting in Vilnius on 9th - 12th of April, 2013
Following the program of the project partners met once again this time in Vilnius, Lithuania to discuss the progress of the project activities, share good practice and plan future activities.
Project partners visited Lithuanian Association of the Deaf as well as Valakupiai Rehabilitation Center to get aquainted to methods of integration of disabled people in Lithuania.
1st day: meeting in the Lithuanian Association of the Deaf premises, to discuss the progress of the project in every country.
The Polish partner presented a new project that would allow young mentally handicapped people to go abroad on an internship. It was unfortunately refused by their agency.
The Czech association then informed the partners about their project to create a new structure in Praha’s suburbs: a recovery centre where everyone could go, based on alternative medicine.
The Lithuanian partner introduced two international mobility projects that took place: young deaf-dumb people sent to Amsterdam to find a job, and a Leonardo Mobility sent to Greece. They also have another project of youth exchange whose aim is communicating about disability through arts.
The French association Itinéraire International mentioned the Leonardo Mobility project Mobil’iti 2, which consists in allowing 10 scholarships specifically intended for disabled young people.
A guided visit of the old part of town was then organised during the afternoon.
2nd day: the first part of the day was dedicated to the visit of an IndiGO Project’s partner. The activities and methods of the centre were explained by the person in charge of the young people insertion. A nine and a half month reinsertion program enables disabled people to access a lot of professional trainings. The structure even enjoys a driving school: about fifteen disabled people get their driving licence there every year. Through the visit, the partners could observe the high level of competences and professionalism of the employees.
The morning visit leaded to a debriefing in the afternoon: it turned out to be truly motivating for the partners to work with this structure in the framework of the IndiGO project.
Project partners also planned their future meeting in Marseille in June 2013 and meeting in Czech republic in September 2013.

New project application submitted!
As one of the planed project activities a new project application has been submitted by project partners.
A new Grundtvig Partnership project "indiGO" was initiated during the partners meeting in Warsaw in December.
New project is focused on increase of mobilities among people with disabilities fostering their independence in movement.
As the mobilities of disabled people is a key topic of the current partnership, the new project is a great example of partners communication and cooperation. New partners fro Italy, Estonia and Great Britain were involved. to disseminate the idea and to enlarge the the target group in Europe.
The context:
Europe is a concept that is not accessible to a great number of its citizens because it covers a large geographical area across many countries and the EU is vague. A concrete experience of mobility like a Leonardo training is the opportunity to discover Europe and feel like being a part of it. For people with disability (PwD), access to employment is very difficult. They have difficulties to access a job and need to enhance their profile, with professional training in Europe. There are many organizations around PwD, but each has its own expertise and they need to exchange their practices and expertise in order to make European mobility more accessible to PwD.
The idea:
To empower PwD to go independently throughout Europe by travelling and.sharing experience of accessibility of top places to visit.
Objectives:
- provide possibility of experience of independent mobility throughout Europe for PwD;
- explore possibilities for independent mobility in Europe for PwD and compare the situation among countries;
- demonstrate that Europe should be accessible to all with programs targeted to adults with special needs/disabilities;
- prepare a handbook which includes description of accessible places all over the project partners countries;
Activities:
The activities will consist in organizing 5 visits in various countries, were people with disabilities will go, and experience living daily life. During those visits, they will be asked to experience number of things (shopping, going to city hall, cinemas etc) and express their feedback on these activities. They will produce a testimony that can be written or on video, etc. The partners and learners along with their supports will produce recommendations & checklists for the future.

Partner's visit in Warsow on the 14th and 15th of December, 2012
The second meeting took place in Warsow, hosted by the partner association Institute for United Europe. A work session was dedicated to the 2013 projects deposits. Participants indeed arrived with a few ideas of projects or foods for thought, and shared them to create some projects that were presented in the early 2013. Among them, the Indigo Project, presented in 2013 in the framework of a Grundtvig Partnership coordinated by Lithuania (see here above). Other projects have also been conceived between some participants. Another result was the insertion of a “disabled adults” dimension in other projects that we develop, such as the 10 specific scholarships allowed in our Leonardo Mobility PMT 2013 project. The logo of the project has also been approved by the team.
First project partners meeting in Paris
